Shake it up The Cars

Shake it up by The Cars. Shake It Up is the fourth studio album by American new wave band The Cars, released in 1981. This video belongs on Youtube. Another one I added just because it seemed to have disappeared.

I agree and he is one of my fave guitarist. I met him by accident at the Burbank Airport about 3 years ago. Cool guy. New Wave, okay I used to **** that term even tho I was a new romantic during high school during the early to mid ’80s but hey Elliot Easton was a premier American New Wave guitarist and is to this day one of rock and pop rock’s finest guitar players.

One of the best songs of the 80s! Whenever I hear this, it makes me want to appreciate life and it inspires me to do anything I want, ANYTHING I WANT! Thanks for posting. The 80s rule! Those were the days.

What memories. I recall this one time I took the school bus home when I was a Freshman or Sophomore in HS and heard by the bus stop some kids playing this on their boom box. This was late ‘81 or ‘82, can’t recall the exact school year but one of those. This was the 5:00 bus. School was out at 2:45 but they had a late bus for the kids who played sports after school. What memories. Great band. Oh Go Moors also!

Guitar solo is awesome to say the least. Elliot Easton is one of my fave guitarist. I met him once by chance. Didn’t talk to him much ‘cuz I didn’t want to bother him. He was cool. I shoulda talked guitar gear with him tho but did not.
