He decided to continue his concert until the end +was on stage bis 6days before his death in spite of his serious sickness by mortal pancreatic cancer. Increadibly strong man.
The vocalist is Benjamin Orr, co-founder+ co-leadvocalist of Cars.
This debuet single started all the success of cars.
If you like this, check also other songs w/Ben“s vocal in YouTube. ex.
“All mixed up(stereo)”
“Bye Bye Love”
“Cruiser 1982″
“Everything you say”
He is exceptionally gifted vocalist/musician.
Cripes, the devil was running the stage with George Thorogood? George must have been behaving rather badly. Either that, or the whiskey was laced with a little something something, right?
i was there that day july 13, 1985 jfk staidium philadelphia ,many dont believe me but i still have ticket stubs i was only 17 years old wow seems like a million years…. it was so fuckin hot in jfk that day i saw the devil run across the stage with geore therogood…….( think he could of picked a better band)wow what a concert
I was at this concert in Philly. It was kind of hot for Greg to wear a heavy sweater.
I am going to see outragous The Cars tribute band, Talk Of The Town on Fri Dec 5. They are playing at Sundance in Rocky Point,Long island
NY. Thats 60 mile drive from Manhattan(90mns)
. The Police tribute band Invisible Sun is also on the bill. This is the best music.
At 1:30 check out the OLD SCHOOL pc on Greg Hawkins set-up. It’s funny, but no small irony as The Cars were by far the most innovative (and talented) combining so many sounds. I now realize that all my favorite CARS songs were sung by Benjamin Orr. Damn, that guy sounds good! The epitome of COOL.
