I am buying my first car and saved up 3k, all the cars I see online are over 100k miles, what are some good reliable cars? I really like the ford focus. Any others?

Chrysler, Honda, Chevrolet, even Miata — has a not-so-underground community that’s just as proud of the car at 500,000 miles as when it was new, maybe even more. (Mercedes and Volvo hand out grille badges and window stickers.) And their secrets range from the mundane to the downright mystic.

honda civic is your best bet. bring along a friend who actually knows a thing or two about cars. you will not regret it. also if the honda civic has v-tec they are a bit more economical and powerful if you want it to be.

Most cars with a owner that has properly taken care of it are reliable. With that being said, old acuras, hondas, nissans and even a few fords should take care of you. The biggest factor in reliability after the design of the car is how the previous owner treated it. Maintenance records and a overall gut feeling will go a long way into helping you make a choice.

100K miles does not equate with reliable. Why do you think 100K is usually the maximum warranty?
That said, I too like the Focus.

a classic reliable motor car must be any 3 series BMW
If you can get a 316 for a good price you will get a bargain that will work for years to come.
